On Guinness World Records day Johnny Strange visited BBC Radio Lancashire studios to join Gilly on his Breakfast show and demonstrate some Sword Swallowing.

Over the years Johnny Strange has been featured in several books including appearing on the pages of Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! and The Guinness Book of Records, as well as being immortalised on decks of cards and even a game of ‘Top Trumps’.
He was also featured in Peter Jennings seventh book release “Pushing The Boundaries!” where he interviewed 32 individuals who have pushed the envelope and have exceeded the boundaries many feel obliged to observe. Along with featuring Johnny Strange, other notable names include; Tightrope walker Nik Wallenda who famously navigated across Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon on a tightrope, American doctor Patch Adams known social activist and lifelong clown, World renowned clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger, and 6-time Grammy award winner Christian McBride to name a few.
