Johnny Strange is the proud holder of several accolades, having been officially recognised by Guinness World Records, numerous times – the world’s authority on record breaking achievements. A select few of Johnny’s records and achievements can be found listed below.
WITH EARS OF STEEL
In 2013 Johnny Strange set the official Guinness World Record for ‘The heaviest weight lifted by pierced ears’. Johnny then managed to break his own record in 2016 by lifting a staggering 21.63 kg (47 lb 10 oz) cast iron weight attached to carabiners hooked through nothing more than the piercings in his ears.
Johnny has been nicknamed “the man with ears of steel” after his flesh proved strong enough not to tear under the extreme force applied from the weights.

HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES
Johnny Strange set the world’s first official Guinness World Record for ’The most apples held in own mouth and chainsawed in one minute’. Johnny managed to chainsaw eight apples from his own mouth in one minute with a petrol chainsaw which earned him entry into the Guinness Book of Records 2015.
Johnny also managed to break the record for ‘The most apples chainsawed out of someone else’s mouth in one minute’.

AN APPLE A DAY…
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but luckily a trip to the hospital wasn’t needed when Johnny Strange managed to break the record for ‘The most apples chainsawed out of someone else’s mouth in one minute’.
Johnny managed to carefully saw through a whopping twelve apples in sixty seconds, this hair-raising stunt was featured in the Guinness Book of Records 2017 along side his ’Most apples held in own mouth and chainsawed in one minute’ record.

HUMAN CHOPPING BOARD
Johnny Strange set the official Guinness World Record for ‘The most watermelons chopped in half on somebody’s stomach’ performing an act called ‘The Human Chopping Board’. Johnny used a samurai sword to slice each melon clean in half, carefully stopping just millimetres away from cutting through flesh.
For added danger this stunt was performed on a bed of 400 nails, leaving no room for error. Johnny managed to slice through 10 melons in 30 seconds which earned him entry into the Guinness Book of Records 2016.

JOHNNY GETS HIS WINGS
In 2014 Johnny Strange once again showed the world why he has been nicknamed “the man with ears of steel” after he set the Guinness World Record for ‘The heaviest weight pulled by pierced ears’.
Johnny pulled a Cessna 172-P aircraft weighing in at a whopping 677.8kg (1494.5lbs, 23912oz) for over 66 feet using nothing more than carabiners hooked through the piercings in his ears.
After setting this record Johnny became the only person ever to hold both the record for ‘the heaviest weight lifted by pierced ears’ and ‘The heaviest weight pulled by pierced ears’ at the same time. This record was featured in the Guinness Book of Records 2017.

INSIDE THE GLOBE
In 2014 Johnny Strange became the first person in the world to attempt sword swallowing inside the Globe of Death while having a motorbike ridden around him.
While in Brussels, Belgium, Johnny stood in the centre of a 5 metre steel mesh ball and slid a sword down his oesophagus as stunt rider Vesko Lesev performed motorbike acrobatics around him, travelling in excess of 40mph (70km/h).

A SMASHING JOB
Johnny Strange broke the Guinness World Record for ‘The fastest time to break 16 concrete blocks on the body’ which lead to him being featured in the Guinness Book of Records 2022. The stunt required single blocks to be placed one at a time onto somebody’s stomach they then had to be broken by being struck with a sledgehammer. Johnny used a 15-pound sledgehammer to smash each concrete block, without injuring the person underneath, leaving zero room for error.
Johnny managed to smash all 16 concrete blocks in a record breaking 30.4 seconds which earned him entry into the 2022 Guinness Book of Records.
IT’S A TRAP!
The 2015 Guinness Book Of Records features Johnny Strange’s record of ‘The most animal traps released on the body in one minute’. Johnny managed to snap the steel jaws of 6 vintage animal traps on his body in one minute without sustaining injury.
Each trap that snapped onto Johnny’s hands and arms were vintage leg-hold traps, traps designed to catch and hold an animal until the trap setter returns to release the trap.

OFFICIALLY EGG-CELLENT
Live on the set of the ‘Guinness World Records: Officially Amazing’ TV show, Johnny Strange set the World Record for ‘The most eggs cracked with a whip in one minute’. Using a two metre long bullwhip Johnny had to individually break eggs using the crack of a whip, the loud “crack” you hear the whip making is a result of the tip of the whip breaking the sound barrier.
Johnny managed to individually break 14 eggs which gained him a new Guinness World Record and become “Officially Amazing”.

EXTRA EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT
While appearing on a Guinness World Records’ Facebook Live Broadcast Johnny Strange set the record for “The most newspapers split using a bullwhip in one minute”.
Johnny managed to individually split in half 16 newspaper pages with a single crack of a 4ft nylon bullwhip, the newspapers were being held at arms length by Facebook Live host Paul “Pee Wee” Wiggins. Remarkably, the record was set in the duo’s first attempt.

A TOUGH ACT TO SWALLOW
While appearing on a two part Guinness World Records’ Facebook Live Broadcast Johnny Strange broke the record for “The most swords swallowed in three minutes”.
Johnny managed to swallow a 21” long sold steel blade a total number of 16 times, almost doubling the previous record of 10 swords individually swallowed in three minutes. The broadcast was watched by 186,000+ viewers.
